NovaHAT
The multimedia brain, hidden away.
A board designed to be forgotten: sound for the original speakers, Bluetooth and USB stick, diagnostics, and information on the instrument cluster. All of it tucked behind the trim.

Everything we wish had come as standard.
A single board, built to live in a car: protected power supply, amplification for the four original speakers, an output for a subwoofer, a microphone for calls.
This render shows the board while it's still being designed. The final version may change.
A ventilated enclosure that keeps the board cool.
The v2 enclosure houses the NovaHAT board and the Raspberry Pi 5. Its vents and fan are sized for a car parked in the height of summer.

- v2 enclosure
- About 139 × 102 × 66 mm, Raspberry Pi 5 included
- Cooling
- Vents and fan, designed for 70 °C ambient
- Manufacturing
- 3D-printed
- Real-world temperatures
- Still to be measured on the prototype

Your music, your calls, your car. No tablet stuck to the dashboard.
Sound
Four channels for the original speakers, and an output to add a subwoofer. To really hear your car again.
In developmentBluetooth and USB
Your music from your phone or a USB stick. No radio: that's a deliberate choice.
In developmentHands-free
A discreet microphone in the cabin, so you can take calls without taking your eyes off the road.
In developmentDiagnostics
Read what the car has to say, and one day explain it to you simply.
In developmentDisplay
Useful information on the instrument cluster's original display, just like Nova-FIS.
In developmentModules
Ports to plug in what comes next: Nova-Link, ambient lighting, and whatever you ask us for.
In designA screen that rises from the console, and disappears again.
The idea: a touchscreen hidden behind the centre console's original flap. The flap lifts, the screen slides out and tilts up, then everything folds away. Nothing cut, nothing drilled.
Computer-generated images of a concept. Dimensions and safety (airbags, controls, use while driving) still have to be validated on the car: this is not an announced product.

In development, and we'll be straight with you.
NovaHAT hasn't been built yet. The technical choices are made, and so are the calculations; testing on the car comes next. We'll publish what works, and what doesn't work yet.
Audio performance, power consumption and compatibility: not measured yet, we'll publish them after testing.
